Geese were used as surrogates for Whooping cranes. This study's aim was to determine the feasibility of teaching birds to follow ultralight planes to learn migration routes. REASON FOR DECLINE: not declining. SOURCE POPULATION: Took eggs from wild & raised in captivity. Imprinted on humans to make flying with them easier.
