Grey partridge : Resources

In addition to the data that has been collected in database, several types of additional resources are available. If you would like to add a new resource for a species, contact us. We accept photographs, audio (bird songs/calls), video, non-copyrighted documents, and website links. To add a resource you must have the proprietary rights to that resource or it must be public domain.

• Francis Buner Pen used to foster Grey Partridge juveniles to wild barren pairs. Juveniles at an age of 6 weeks are moved into the right hand side of the pen to attract wild barren pair or single. Barren Grey Partridges have a strong will to adopt juveniles and will enter the funnel at the front of the pen within minutes or days. Once caught, the wild adults and juveniles should be let together and left in the pen for up to five days until bonding has taken place. Once all birds sleep huddled together at night, the created family group should be released all at once the following morning.
