All young continued to be cared for after release. SELECTION CRITERIA: Only colonies with young were chosen to maintain group cohesion after translocation. MONITORING DURATION: Continuous monitoring for life of transmitters (3-9 weeks). Long term monitoring, of 3-4 week duration, also took place at 6 month intervals. CAUSE OF DEATH: No mortality was seen.
