Notes: What's This?
The entire batch of radio transmitters in spring 2008 was defective, and they had a very short effective range (1 km, line of sight), making aerial detection very difficult, and ground detection nearly impossible except at extremely close range. An attempt was made to recapture birds, but the attempt was unsuccessful.
