CAPTURE DATES: May 3-8. SELECTION CRITERIA: wanted a balanced mix of juveniles & adults, M & F. MARKED WITH: 12 had transmitters, but battery life is only 2-4 weeks. MONITORED BY: camera traps at feeders. 1 YR SURVIVAL: unknowable b/c it has been less than 1 year at time of entry. NOTE: used 'sound anchoring'- playing bellbird calls to create the illusion of more birds- to encourage releasees to stay in the area.
