Birds were released by the one-by-one method from early August to mid September (birds are released directly into flock. They are given time to integrate & food is provided to form positive associations). Only the first 3 birds were incorporated into the flock. The other 5 formed their own flock. The first 3 left with the lead birds for migration, but did not end up in the proper spot.
