Study done to determine procedures for releasing Whooping cranes into wild using sandhill cranes as surrogates. RELEASE DATES: Aug 24- Sept 7. ACCLIMATIZATION DURATION: Were allowed to leave release pen whenever they were ready. NOTE: 8 chicks migrated with wild flock. Other 8 were recaptured, then released at another site from which they migrated.
