RELEASE DATE: Date birds were first allowed outside on their own. Were kept in aviary from Aug-Nov to try to prevent dispersal, but 17 birds left before they were enclosed (w/ only 3 returning). The remaining 14 are presumed to be dead. REARING TYPE: of juveniles, 25 hand reared, 3 parent reared. For hand reared birds, foster parents wear black shirts & ibis shaped hats to minimize imprinting on humans. RELEASE GRP TYPE: 28 are juveniles, 7 are adults 4-6 yrs old, previously used as captive breeders. SURVIVAL: At unspecified time. 19 are missing, only 1 still at site as of Sept '10.
