This release was an experiment in training practices. 22 birds were raised as usual, w/ lots of human contact (control)and 22 birds were trained with live foxes as predator aversion. Training w/ live foxes significantly reduced predation. TRAINING DURATION: 3 days. RELEASE DATES: June-Sept, 4 release grps. 1 YEAR MORTALITY: is February in year following release (6-9 months).
