Notes: What's This?
Whiri dispersed from population in July '04. Puke died 10 months after release from falling into a steep sided creek. Eggs removed from wild Kiwi in eastern Kaweka ranges, incubated in captivity at Rainbow springs, hatched, and raised until reached at least 800 gr. REARING TYPE: Kiwi are independent almost immediately after hatching- thus there is no particular rearing method.
