Notes: What's This?
MAIN CAUSE OF DEATH: 3 female whitehead deaths occurred before transfer and are detailed in the "notes" section of the source site. The remaining 55 were released successfully at the Ranges. Capturing took place between August 23rd and August 26th. As of October 2004, no formal monitoring has been carried out yet, but birds had been seen and heard by staff. Status will be determined by roll-call monitoring of bands and unbanded birds. Also, twice yearly monitoring of flock sizes will occur.
