Jun 01, 2007 / Rota Island / Guam rail
1 pair (2 birds) of guam rails was soft released at Okgok, Rota Island. They were all equipped with transmitterrs. They spent 13 days in the cage, and were recorded to be alive Oct 4th 2007. The birds are still seen at release site in 2008 and reproduction has been documented. Reinforcement was conducted. SURVIVAL 60 DAYS POST RELEASE: 100% of guam rails with transmitters. This is over the 3 soft releases at the Okgok release site on Rota Island (April 05, March 06, June 07).
