16 birds were released at Apanon, Rota Island. 6 were equipped with transmitters. 3 went MIA, and 3 COD are unknown. They were tracked for 13 days, and then returned 4 months later.. There was a persistent population observed through 2008 with consistent reproduction. Releases are continual as is monitoring. SURVIVAL 60 DAYS POST RELEASE: 36% of guam rails with transmitters. This is over 6 releases at Apanon (Nov 05, Sept 06, Jan 07, Jun 07, Sept 07, Jan 08 ).
