48 birds were released at Apanon, Rota Island. 13 were equipped with transmitters. 2 died from cat predation, 5 unknowns, 2 starved, 1 went MIA, 1 dropped its transmitter, and 2 were alive as of Octover 4th 2007. There was a persistent population observed through 2008 with consistent reproduction. Releases are continual as is monitoring.Reinforcement was conducted. SURVIVAL 60 DAYS POST RELEASE: 36% of guam rails with transmitters. This is over 6 releases at Apanon (Nov 05, Sept 06, Jan 07, Jun 07, Sept 07, Jan 08 ).
