20 birds were released at Apanon, Rota Island. 12 were equipped with transmitters. 5 died from cat predatino, 1 unknown, 1 starved, 3 went MIA, and 2 dropped their transmitters. There was a persistent population observed through 2008 with consistent reproduction. Releases are continual as is monitoring. Reinforcement was conducted. SURVIVAL 60 DAYS POST RELEASE: 36% of guam rails with transmitters. This is over 6 releases at Apanon (Nov 05, Sept 06, Jan 07, Jun 07, Sept 07, Jan 08 ).
