Notes: What's This?
Release was at Gamp forest, Rota Island, but it was not an optimal habitat. 22 were equipped with transmitters, of which 3 died from cat predation, 4 dropped their transmitters, 2 starved, 15 were unknown deaths, 16 went MIA, 2 got tangled in wire, and 2 were hit by a car. Reproduction was documented, but no long term population was established at the site. Reinforcement was conducted. SURVIVAL 60 DAYS POST RELEASE: 25% of guam rails with transmitters. This is of all the releases in 2000-2001 in Gampapa Limestone Forest.
