Notes: What's This?
1998 had two transfer dates of petrel chicks from the two source islands. One on November 21 and the other on November 27. 100 chicks were transferred in total (63 Motumahanga, 40 NBI), and 40 of them were released on Mana Island. Mortality was primarily due to candidiasis and food poisoning. It was not recorded what percentage of the released chicks came from either island and it was not recorded which day they had been transferred. 9 of these chicks returned to Mana Island later.
