Notes: What's This?
This was actually a series of 4 "precision releases' of 2 captive-reared parrot at each of 4 active wild nests sites immediately upon fledging of the last chick. Parrots were trained for 5 months in large flight cage, and then transported to release sites and immediately released in the presence of the wild family group. No agonistic interactions took place, and all released parrots began feeding immediately on native foods.
