Notes: What's This?
40 birds, none with transmitters, were released at 1st Duge, Rota Island. Their whereabouts then could not be traced. There is a persistant/expanding population at/near release site through 2008, without reinforcement or predator control. Since february 2004, "rails can make it on their own in this predator rich enviornment. (Wenninger 2009)." Reproduction was consistently documented. Reinforcement was conducted.
